The truth is social media is an unpredictable beast. If you don’t know how to work with it, you could end up wrecking your reputation.

Here are 3 mistakes to avoid at all costs:

#1 – Never React Angrily to a Comment

Anger will make you seem petty and vindictive. Respond with rational maturity if you notice a comment you don’t like. If all else fails, remove the person from your social circle and move on.

#2 – Never Share a “Perfect” Persona

If all you do is share staged selfies and posts about your “perfect life,” you’ll seem fake and egotistical… and you’ll lose followers by the truckload.

#3 – Never Tear People Down

Behind every post is a human being with feelings. Be supportive. Never critical, negative or insensitive.
